Jack Grealish has revealed he is hoping to face rivals West Brom in the play-off semi-final, the Birmingham Mail report via the Daily Mail, with the Baggies the last side to beat Aston Villa prior to their 12 match unbeaten run.
As things currently stand in the Championship heading into the final day of the season, Villa will host fourth placed West Brom in the first leg of the play-off semi-final, before the second leg at the Hawthorns.
However victory for the Baggies against Derby County combined with a Leeds United defeat away to already relegated Ipswich Town on Sunday would see James Shan’s side move into third place, leaving Villa to play Leeds.

And while Grealish revealed his side will be ready for whoever they face in the play-offs, the midfielder believes it would be good to get revenge on West Brom, who were the last side to beat Villa in a 2-0 victory in February.
We’ve come alive at the right time. We haven’t lost since West Brom on February 16 so it would probably be nice to get West Brom in the play-off semi-final, knowing we haven’t been beaten since then. We’ll take any game that comes and go into it with high confidence. I think all the boys are all the same: we don’t care who we play.

The manager has brought players in who seem to play without fear. Nothing bothers them. All I’m thinking about is getting promoted with Villa. We have got the perfect manager and the perfect team. We have got more of a chance than we had last year. This year, I feel something different here. Every game we go in to, I feel like we’re going to win it. I feel like this is going to be our year.
Villa host already promoted Norwich City on Sunday, with the Canaries needing just a point to win the Championship, while Villa are secured a fifth placed finish regardless of the result.
There is a three-way battle for the final play-off spot below Villa, however, with two points separating Derby in sixth, Middlesbrough in seventh and Bristol City in eighth.
