Aston Villa star Anwar El Ghazi has revealed that there are several Premier League clubs interested in his signature.
Despite being on loan from Ligue 1 club Lille, the winger has had various clubs announce their interest in him and the player has brought this to light during a broadcast on Dutch TV show VTBL.
The 24-year-old has made 31 league appearances this term, scoring five and assisting six times.
The panel of the show began to guess who the clubs interested in the player may be, one suggestion that was made was Everton. Panel guest and former Toffees player Andy van der Meyde warned El Ghazi to avoid the club, saying, “Don’t go to Everton.”
Cited on The Boot Room, El Ghazi also made his intentions clear regarding his time at Aston Villa by stating he wishes to go all the way and earn promotion to the Premier League.
Dean Smith’s side made it to the final after an intense play-off semi-final against West Brom. They are to face Derby County after Frank Lampard’s men brushed aside Leeds in their semi-final.
Should Villa make a return to the Premier League, Smith will be looking to send his squad into England’s top division with a team capable of competing.
Who could leave Aston Villa this summer?
It may be time for Villa to try and cash in on Jonathan Kodjia, with the striker unlikely to be first choice next season.
Aston Villa will do all they can to keep hold of him, but John McGinn is attracting Premier League interest.
Lovre Kalinic’s move to Aston Villa really hasn’t worked out for the Croatian, he could be moved on this summer.
Henri Lansbury has been troubled by injuries this season and may be moved on if Villa secure promotion.
