Adomah told he has no future at Villa Park

According to a report by Birmingham Live, Albert Adomah will not be offered a new contract at Villa when his current one runs out in the summer.

The 31-year-old winger has spent three seasons at Villa Park and was awarded the Players’ Player of the Year award during the 2017/18 season as he finished as Villa’s top goalscorer with 15 goals, helping them to reach the Championship play-off final.

However, he struggled to find form this time around and contributed just four goals and two assists in 42 appearances for the club.

Despite this, to his immense credit, he gave his all every time he pulled on the famous claret and blue shirt, which is why he always be remembered fondly by Villa fans.

It’s a decision he has probably been aware of for some time, with Villa boss Smith trying to lower the average age of the squad ahead of their return to the Premier League.
