Villa linked with Bayliss swoop

Aston Villa are interested in signing 20-year-old Tom Bayliss from League One side Coventry City, according to a report from Birmingham Live.

Dean Smith’s side appear to have plans to sign several new players this transfer window. They have already been active in the market, and it seems the Sky Blues youngster is the latest player on their radar.

For the past three transfer windows, as per the report, Bayliss has been linked with different clubs, including some Premier League teams who believe he could be a player to watch out for in the future.

Derby County reportedly made two offers to sign the midfielder from Coventry in January 2018, but their efforts proved to be of no avail.

Villa appear intent on strengthening their squad as they bid to secure their status in the Premier League following promotion from the Championship via the play-offs.

There are, however, many teams who have been linked with the promising youngster, so it won’t be that easy for the club to secure him.
