Fenerbahce want to sign Abraham on loan
Aston Villa look set to face competition from Fenerbahce for the signing of Tammy Abraham, according to Fotomac, via Sport Witness.
The young striker enjoyed a superb 2018/19 season at Villa Park, scoring 25 goals in 37 Championship appearances.
It helped Dean Smith’s side get back into the Premier League, having beaten Derby County 2-1 in the playoff final.
Abraham was only on loan at Villa, however, and his future is very much up in the air this summer.
The club have been linked with bringing him back on loan, although a permanent move has also been mooted.
Chelsea may be keen to keep hold of him, though, especially with a transfer ban currently not allowing them to sign new players.
Fenerbahce have now emerged as another potential suitor, with sporting director Damien Comolli hoping his “good relationship” with Chelsea can help seal a move for the 21-year-old.
The two clubs have reportedly been in touch, which could act as a major blow to Villa.
They will hope that a deal can still be agreed, but it won’t be easy to entice last season’s star man back to Villa Park.
