Aston Villa are interested in signing Nottingham Forest winger, Joe Lolley.
However, Nottingham Forest reportedly won’t budge from their £15 million valuation of the player, reports the Daily Mail, cited by Birmingham Mail.
It was reported that Villa were preparing a move of around £10 million for the winger.
The winger featured 46 times last season for Forest, scoring 11 goals and setting up 11 more.
Aston Villa are looking for more options at the top end of the field following Tammy Abraham’s return to Chelsea and releasing winger Albert Adomah.
Villa have already signed wingers Anwar El Ghazi and Jota to their attacking options but it seems Dean Smith’s side are no where near done in what will be a busy window.
They have been linked with goalkeeper Jack Butland and Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips as they look to have a solid return to the Premier League.
Previously speaking about his links to Aston Villa, Lolley has said:
I’ve followed the club all my life and I used to sit on the Holte End.
I remember players like Alan Thompson, Paul Merson, that sort of era.
I rarely missed a game back then but obviously playing football every weekend came first.
Four more attacking targets Villa could sign
Gayle had a fantastic season on loan at West Brom where he netted 24 times for the Baggies.
Whether Villa would go for a loan or a permanent move would depend on how much Newcastle value the striker.
Another forward who caught the eye at West Brom last season is Jay Rodriguez who scored 22 times for the Baggies.
Rodriguez has Premier League experience having a successful spell at Southampton.
Sturridge has struggled in recent seasons at Liverpool and is available on a free transfer.
The experience the forward has could be vital for Villa and if he stays fit could prove to be a good signing.
The young forward had an excellent season at rivals Birmingham City where he scored 22 goals.
The forward has been linked with many Premier League clubs, and at only 22, he could prove to be an excellent signing.
