Villa remain hopeful about deal to sign Benrahma
Dean Smith’s newly-promoted Aston Villa side are preparing for their season in the Premier League and remain hopeful that Said Benrahma will be part of their squad.
Villa managed to gain promotion after beating Frank Lampard’s Derby County in the play-off final at Wembley.
Now, Smith has been looking into players who he could add to his squad to ensure they will maintain their position in the Premier League.
According to reports on the Express and Star, Villa are continuing to work on a deal to sign Benrahma from Brentford.
However, Brentford manager Thomas Frank won’t be giving up Benrahma easily as the club have put a £20 million price tag on the winger.
Although, the report claims that Villa are not going to pay that much and will be negotiating a lower price for the 23-year-old in the upcoming weeks.
It seems as though Brentford’s 11-goal winger is one of Villa’s top targets, but they’ll have to work hard to get a deal done.
