Villa hopeful of third Tuanzebe loan

Aston Villa are reportedly keen on signing Axel Tuanzebe on loan from Manchester United once again this summer, despite having already signed Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause permanently this summer.

The 21-year-old impressed Dean Smith during his spell at Villa Park last season, and according to The Telegraph, the Villa boss is keen on another loan move for the defender.

Smith has already confirmed the signings of former loanees Mings and Hause respectively this summer, as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2019/20 Premier League season.

Tuanzebe, however, is reportedly set to be given a chance to compete for a first team spot at United in pre-season by boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, meaning Villa could miss out on the 21-year-old.

The versatile defender made 30 appearances for Smith’s side last season, helping Villa gain promotion to the top flight via the play-off final, despite missing three months of the campaign due to injury.
