Trezeguet set for Villa medical ahead of £8.75m switch

Aston Villa have agreed a fee of £8.75m with Kasimpasa to sign Egyptian international Trezeguet.

According to Telegraph journalist John Percy, Trezeguet will undergo a medical at Aston Villa over the weekend before officially completing his move to the Premier League.

He also claims that the deal has several significant add-ons included, which means that the forward could end up costing Villa far more than the initial £8.75m.

The 24-year-old scored nine goals in 34 games for Kasimpasa in the Turkish league last season, after scoring 13 in 31 the year before.

He has also been capped 41 times by Egypt at international level, scoring six goals for his country – with one coming against Zimbabwe in the African Cup of Nations last month.

Trezeguet will join Kortney Hause, Tyrone Mings, Bjorn Engels, Wesley, Anwar El Ghazi, Matt Targett, Ezri Konsa and Jota in joining the club this summer.
