Aston Villa owners set to pump £100 million into club – but where should the money go?
Aston Villa are set for £100 million’s worth of investment over the next five years, according to the Birmingham Mail.
Owners Wes Edens and Naseef Sawiris have submitted documents to companies house that suggest that they intend to pump in over £100 million in the next five years.
Changes have been earmarked also, which will allow fresh investment in the club via more shares.
This would bring the total amount of investment into the club to a total of over £300 million, with the pair putting a lot of cash into Villa since buying the club from Dr Tony Xia.

This investment really shows how much dedication that Wes Edens and Naseef Sawiris have for Villa, and what they are willing to put in to develop the team.
But where should the money go?
We’ve obviously seen a huge investment in the team already this summer, and we will have to wait and see if the pair are willing to cough up large sums going forward.
However, we may see more investment put into the youth and training ground, especially with the emphasis being put into the development of youth players after the appointment of Mark Harrison.
They could also continue to develop Villa Park, especially after their rebrand of the stadium’s exterior over the summer.
