Alan Brazil feels Grealish will leave if Villa get relegated

Talksport presenter Alan Brazil believes that Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish will leave the club if they get relegated from the Premier League this season.

The Englishman is reportedly Manchester United’s priority target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

When speaking on the Sports Breakfast show on Talksport, Brazil said:

If they stay up he might stay, if they don’t he’s gone – simple as that.

Dean Smith’s side are currently involved in a tense relegation battle and sit in 17th place in the league table, only one point away from the dreaded relegation zone.

Grealish has played a major role in helping Villa be where they are through his seven goals and five assists in the top-flight so far this term.

We agree with Brazil’s take on Grealish because the 24-year-old is arguably one of the most creative players in the Premier League, so playing in the Championship will be a massive step down for him.

There are no guarantees that he’ll stay even if Villa stay up but if they go down, then we believe selling him would be the best option for everyone involved. Why?

Because the club will most likely get a good sum of money for him and Grealish himself could get a chance of playing European club football elsewhere.
