Spurs fans keen to beat Villa in league clash

Aston Villa face Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this Sunday at Villa Park.

As the current league table shows, Spurs are currently pushing for a top-four position whilst Dean Smith’s side are looking to avoid relegation back to the Championship.

Villa recently fell to a 2-1 defeat against fellow strugglers AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, whilst Spurs had a morale-boosting 2-0 victory over defending champions Manchester City in their last match.

Both clubs have been enjoying the new winter break that has been introduced by the Premier League this season and will be expecting their players to return fresh and raring to go at Villa Park.

Many Tottenham fans can’t wait for the clash and want Mourinho’s men to back up their victory over City with another three points against Villa.

Some fans flocked to the club’s Twitter post regarding the fixture with messages for the team, the main one being to win the match.

Some were also excited to see Steven Bergwijn again after his debut heroics.

matchday.
