Many Aston Villa fans celebrate John McGinn’s international success
Many Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate John McGinn‘s success with Scotland as they sealed their passage to the European Championships.
Facing Serbia in a play-off to progress to next summer’s competition, Steve Clarke’s side took the lead through Ryan Christie early in the second half.

An equaliser from Luka Jovic ensured the teams were level after 90 minutes and also after extra time, leading to a highly-pressured penalty shootout.
Scotland scored all five of their spot kicks as Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic missed for his country.
McGinn, who has started every Premier League game for Dean Smith’s side so far this term, was part of his country’s success, starting the game in a central attacking midfield role, and many Villa fans have now taken to Twitter to congratulate the 26-year-old for his success.
Some are eagerly anticipating his clash with Jack Grealish as the Scots face England in their group at the finals, while one alluded to how Steve Clarke’s team celebrated their famous play-off triumph.
Below are some of the best tweets on McGinn’s success and praise from Villa fans…
