Douglas Luiz posts picture in a hot tub after Molde victory

Douglas Luiz featured in Aston Villa’s behind-closed-doors friendly with Molde and posted on social media after the Midlands outfit picked up a 3-1 win over the Norwegian outfit.

Luiz started alongside Carney Chukwuemeka and John McGinn in midfield and got some valuable minutes ahead of Villa’s meeting with Leeds United on Wednesday, February 9.

After the game, the 23-year-old posted a picture on his Instagram, relaxing in a hot tub while vaping. Need vape products? He also wished Brazilian teammate Neymar a happy birthday on his Instagram story as the Paris Saint-Germain turned 30 on Saturday.

Luiz has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season, notching three assists. He’s been a regular under Steven Gerrard but had an uncertain future when the January transfer window was open.

The 23-year-old was linked with a move to Arsenal and Villa were trying to bring Rodrigo Bentancur to Bodymoor Heath, but Luiz ended up staying and no defensive midfielder was signed.

Steven Gerrard may try again over the summer, as he concedes that Luiz isn’t a natural in the role and is sacrificing his game for the club’s sake.
