Leon Bailey is thought to favour a move to Hull City, although the newly promoted club have not yet reached an agreement with Aston Villa. The winger appears increasingly likely to leave Villa Park during the summer transfer window.
Hull City correspondent Barry Cooper reports that Bailey wants the transfer. However, negotiations have not progressed far enough for the clubs to agree a fee or final structure.
Hull City believe they can complete a deal for Bailey, who has entered the final year of his Aston Villa contract. The Tigers are looking to add proven Premier League quality following promotion.
Bailey has also reportedly rejected interest from Celta Vigo and Trabzonspor because he wants to remain in England. Hull now appear to offer his preferred route away from Villa.

The 28-year-old returned to Villa in January after an unsuccessful loan spell with Roma. He later spoke positively about being back at the club, but his position in Unai Emery’s squad remains uncertain.
Villa are prepared to reshape their attacking options after losing Morgan Rogers to Chelsea. Bailey’s departure would remove another experienced wide player and increase the need for a replacement.

A permanent sale would allow Villa to remove Bailey’s wages and recover a fee before his contract approaches its final months. However, Hull must first present terms which satisfy the Villa hierarchy.
Bailey’s willingness to make the move could help negotiations. As things stand, though, no agreement has been struck and he remains an Aston Villa player.
