Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly attracting interest from La Liga clubs after struggling for minutes during the opening weeks of his Aston Villa loan.
The Chelsea winger remains stuck on just 31 competitive minutes under Unai Emery and is yet to start for Villa.
According to BBC Sport’s transfer gossip, clubs in Spain are now monitoring Garnacho’s situation at Villa Park.
However, there is currently no suggestion Villa, Chelsea or Garnacho are looking to change the terms of his season-long loan.
Garnacho remains behind Villa rivals
Garnacho was again an unused substitute during Villa’s 3-2 victory over Tottenham.
Johan Manzambi instead strengthened his position by scoring and creating another goal in north London.
Our analysis of Manzambi’s breakthrough showed how the summer arrival has added another obstacle to Garnacho’s route into Emery’s XI.
George Hemmings, Alysson and Ibrahim Mbaye have also been preferred at different stages.
Emery has previously told Garnacho to remain patient and continue working after a disrupted pre-season.
Villa loan agreement remains unchanged
Garnacho joined Villa from Chelsea during the summer on a season-long loan containing a conditional obligation to buy worth around £43million.
Reports say those conditions have not been altered despite his limited involvement.
Villa originally signed Garnacho to add another direct attacking option, with our transfer announcement detailing the structure of his move from Chelsea.
The international break now gives the 22-year-old an important opportunity to change Emery’s thinking.
Villa are due to spend part of the break in Seville before returning to Premier League action in October.
For Garnacho, earning more minutes remains the immediate priority despite attention beginning to emerge from Spain.
