Aston Villa Women defender Katie Scott has signed her first professional contract with the club after progressing through the academy system.
The agreement makes Scott the youngest player to sign professional terms with Villa Women, adding another important milestone to her rapid rise into Natalia Arroyo’s senior squad.
Scott, who turned 17 earlier this month, has already made her senior debut and featured again during Villa’s Subway Players Cup victory against Nottingham Forest.
Aston Villa confirmed the contract and released a fresh interview with Scott, with the defender describing the moment as the outcome she had wanted since coming through the academy.

Scott has been involved with England at Under-17 level and is now beginning to establish herself around Villa’s first-team environment.
The defender said she is “learning so much” from training alongside senior players and described every day around the squad as another opportunity to develop.
Her progression gives Villa another example of a clear pathway from academy football into Arroyo’s first team.
Scott now has the chance to continue building senior experience while competing for opportunities in a defence that already contains established international players.
