Aston Villa outline North Stand reunion plan for 1897 Group

Aston Villa intend to offer the 1897 Group the opportunity to buy season tickets together in the redeveloped North Stand after stadium works disrupted their seating arrangements.

The club outlined that intention at its Fan Advisory Board meeting on 20 August, with the meeting summary published on 23 September.

Villa considered the group’s Lower North Stand trial a success. However, the redevelopment has prevented the supporters from being seated together for the 2026/27 campaign.

Aston Villa 1897 Group seating plan explained

The published summary says the club intends to give the group the chance to purchase season tickets together when the new North Stand opens.

That remains an intention rather than a completed allocation. The summary does not specify seat numbers, prices or an application process.

Villa also said they would meet the group during the redevelopment period to help maintain its momentum.

The update adds a supporter-focused detail to the North Stand construction work now under way.

Atmosphere remains part of redevelopment discussions

The FAB also raised matchday atmosphere during the meeting.

Villa said the board’s February proposal remained under consideration and suggested a session involving fan engagement and match presentation staff after several home games with three stands in use.

For the 1897 Group, the proposed seating arrangement offers a route back to supporting the team together.

The immediate task is maintaining that involvement while the North Stand remains unavailable, with the club’s proposed discussions providing the next step.
