Aston Villa’s new dressing-room area emerges in stadium footage

Aston Villa supporters have been offered a closer look at the club’s future dressing-room area as the Villa Park redevelopment continues.

Drone footage dated 1 October features the space earmarked for the home dressing room, the approach to the away facilities and the planned players’ tunnel, according to Football Ground Guide’s latest report.

Those details show how the project will change the players’ matchday surroundings alongside the expansion of the North Stand.

Villa Park redevelopment: What has changed?

Football Ground Guide also reports progress with brickwork, newly installed doors and a freshly poured concrete slab.

Piling and drainage work remain under way, with substantial construction still required. The dressing rooms and tunnel are not being presented as finished facilities.

Our earlier coverage of the North Stand construction phase focused on September’s foundation and reinforcement work. The latest report offers more detail on the spaces being created for the teams.

When will the North Stand reopen?

Villa’s existing target is the start of the 2027/28 season, with the expanded stadium intended to hold more than 50,000 supporters.

That timetable remains separate from this footage update. The images do not establish a new opening date or confirm that construction is ahead of schedule.

After the earlier removal of the North Stand roof, attention is increasingly turning to what will replace the old facilities.
