Villa head into the weekend looking to put their midweek Carabao Cup disappointment behind them. Their 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth brought an end to an impressive run of six victories in seven matches.

Emery will be looking for a reaction from his side against Fulham as Villa look to continue their climb up the league. They are currently four points outside the top four.

Fulham will arrive in Birmingham with confidence after winning their last two games in the Premier League. The wins have helped Álvaro Arbeloa’s side move out of the relegation zone after a tough start to their campaign.

Here is all the latest team news ahead of the Aston Villa vs Fulham clash.

Aston Villa injury news: Onana, Ruggeri and Wan-Bissaka unavailable

Amadou Onana

Onana is still sidelined for the rest of the season.

The midfielder is continuing to make good progress in his recovery, but Villa have no short-term hopes of getting him back in contention, admitted Emery.

That means they will be missing out on a key midfield option against Fulham and beyond.

Matteo Ruggeri

Ruggeri has also been ruled out by Emery.

He is on the way to recovery from a hamstring injury, which is ruling him out for over a month. Emery doesn’t have a precise date for his return, but perhaps he can be back by late November or early December.

Villa will continue to monitor his progress before setting a firm comeback date.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Wan-Bissaka closes Aston Villa’s injury roster ahead of Saturday’s match.

The right back sustained a hamstring injury, which is going to keep him off the field until after the international break.

His injury forces Emery to face another choice with regard to his defensive line while preparing for the game against Fulham.

Fulham injury news: Sessegnon suspended as Smith Rowe faces fitness check

Ryan Sessegnon

Sessegnon will definitely miss the game at Villa Park.

The defender is serving a suspension, so Arbeloa will need to find a replacement for the left side.

Emile Smith Rowe

Smith Rowe is Fulham’s main injury concern, but his chances of playing have increased.

The midfielder was feeling some pain after a training session last Friday but was able to complete a full session, which gives Arbeloa hope.

The Fulham boss suggested that Smith Rowe should be available, but he will make a final decision, which will depend on the last-minute fitness check.
