Aston Villa boss, Tim Sherwood could move to Tottenham Hotspur outcast, Emmanuel Adebayor again in the January transfer window after seeing a move for the Togolese man fall through in the window just gone by.
John Percy from the Daily Telegraph reports that Tim Sherwood has claimed that Adebayor would play for nothing.
The 31-year old has been frozen out at Spurs after rejecting moves away from White Hart Lane and rejecting the Lilywhites offer to cancel his contract at the end of the transfer window last week.
Adebayor was subsequently dropped from Mauricio Pochettino’s 25 man squad for the Premier League. Pochettino insisted on Friday that the former-Arsenal forward would not play for his side again.
Tim Sherwood said that he ‘would not hesitate’ about bringing Adebayor to Villa Park if his side needed extra firepower come, the January transfer window.
He went on to say that the striker would give ‘valuable experience’ to his side.
“He would have given us a valuable bit of experience and he also knows how to score. He would charge around and cause havoc, on his day he is one of the best I’ve seen.
“I’m disappointed for him because he’s not going to play. He’s too good a talent to not play any football but unfortunately I don’t think there’s any window open for him now. He’s not in it for the money but, genuinely, he wants to play at the top level.
