Villa given green light to Charlie Austin swoop

Charlie Austin could be on his way to Villa Park in the January transfer window, providing that QPR receive a sizable bid, according to Get West London.

A host of Premier League teams, including Aston Villa were interested in the front man after his goal scoring exploits last season for the London-based side in the Premier League – however, QPR stayed strong on the promise of keeping their man to help them on their push for promotion in the Championship.

Now, it seems QPR have had a change of heart. Willing to listen to “reasonable” offers during the January transfer window taking the risk on being able to find a replacement for the striker with the money they’d receive.

Charlie Austin scored 18 times during his time in the Premier League and is no surprise that he interests Aston Villa who are down on luck and out of goals.

Villa currently sit the bottom of the Premier League table.
