A rising star at Nottingham Forest has revealed how he had talks with Aston Villa over the summer in an interview with The Herald in Scotland.
Alex Iacovitti is a centre-back in Forest’s academy but has failed to break into Dougie Freeman’s side despite some impressive form in development games.
Iacovitti told The Herald that there was ‘interest’ from The Villans in the summer transfer window gone, but nothing came of it and he is ‘enjoying his time’ at Nottingham Forest which ‘suits him’
The 18-year old’s international future already a major question on the lips of fans and the media with Iacovitti choosing to play for Scotland U19 so far, but he also able to play for Italy and England.
He is described on the Nottingham Forest website as having an ‘immense reading’ of the beautiful game and has a ‘long stride’ aiding his ability to get back and defend. He has also spent time at left-back during his development.
