Aston Villa are looking to replace the under pressure Brad Guzan with young Belgian keeper, Guillaume Hubert being lined up by Villa’s transfer team.
Dominic Fifield from The Guardian reports how Aston Villa are in the race to sign the 21-year old from Belgian outfit, Standard Liège along with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Swansea City.
The youngster developed in France at Valenciennes and even had a month’s trial at Stoke City. He is currently entering the last 18 months of his current contract so it is believed he could be picked up for as little as £500,000.
Hubert has picked up praise this season playing six times in the Belgian Jupiler league – even keeping a clean sheet against Anderlecht.

A move for a goalkeeper of any sort fo replace Brad Guzan will come as welcome news to any Villa fan. A goalkeeper is surely in the top list of replacements on most Villa fans’ Christmas lists. It is important the current issue in goal is resolved if Villa stand any chance of surviving.
