Remi Garde is to kickstart his January transfer window with a bid for Everton striker, Steven Naismith.
John Percy from The Telegraph reports how The Villans are ready to launch a £6.5 million move for the former-Rangers man.
The 29-year old has found his chances limited at Goodison this season due to the scintillating form of Romelu Lukaku. With Remi Garde in desperate need of a proven goal scorer, Naismith could be the perfect answer to Villa’s woes.
Naismith joined Everton in 2012 on the back of Ranger’s financial meltdown. Since joining The Toffees, he has found the net 18 times in 102 appearances, but his reputation has been forged on his work ethic and pure determination.
Back in the summer, Premier League rivals Norwich City had a £8-million bid accepted on deadline day for the Scottish international, but it failed to materialise before the window slammed shut. Percy suggest The Canaries could come back in for him also.
