Aston Villa have emerged as one of the Premier League clubs that are considering a move for SV Darmstadt winger Sandro Wagner as Remi Garde looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of an uphill battle for survival.
With a lack of goals being a problem for Villa, it would come as no surprise to see Garde look for more attacking outlets in January in order to give his side hope of staying up.
Villa are not the only Premier League club to be linked with the 28-year-old, as it has been reported that West Brom are also looking to move for the impressive wide man.
Wagner has been Darmstadt’s standout player this season and despite their reluctance to lose the winger, he may be prized away in January for a fairly low sum.
The former Germany under-21 international has bagged four goals from 11 games in the Bundesliga this season and could help to strengthen Aston Villa’s attack with a January move.
