MLS side LA Galaxy have made a bid for Aston Villa defender Joleon Lescott, according to Amy Lewis of Sky Sports News.

The 33-year-old has pretty much been a regular in the Villa side this season, playing in 15 league games so far during the campaign.

Lescott, who scored the only goal of the game in the 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace earlier this week, is under contract at Villa Park until 2017, so the Villans are under no pressure to sell, especially if they think the centre-back is a key member of the side as they aim to perform a great escape and stay in the top flight next season.
If Lescott does make the switch to Los Angeles, he’ll join up with former Premier League stars Steven Gerrard and Robbie Keane, and possibly Ashley Cole, who is rumoured to interested in a move to the MLS.
