Premier League rivals, Swansea City are set to move ahead of Aston Villa for Bordeaux centre-back, Lamine Sane.

Villa had previously been in advanced talks with Remi Garde’s side according to reports, but now according to the Daily Mail, The Swans have put forward a £5-million offer.

Sane joined Bordeaux in 2009 and has gone on to make 174 appearances for the French side while also scoring on six occasions. He was left out his current side’s most recent game with Bordeaux confirming talks were ongoing.

The Senegalese international recently told the press that it would be his ‘dream’ to play in the Premier League opening up the potential move to The Villans or Swansea.

He made his Senegal debut in 2010 – making 25 appearances. Sane has spent his whole professional career at Bordeaux and has formed a reputation for his versatility in defence and midfield.

The Villans are also in talks to bring Lovre Kalinic to Villa Park from Hadjuk Split according to the Daily Mail.
