Aston Villa join Premier League sides Liverpool and Crystal Palace in the race for Ajax winger, Anwar El Ghazi.
David Amoyal reports on Gianluca Di Marzio that the recently relegated side are going toe to toe with both Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace for El Ghazi.
The Dutch international has been rumoured with a move away from the Eredivisie side after a brilliant season where El Ghazi found the net 11 times in the league and also win Ajax’s talent of the year.
He has been highly courted with Jurgen Klopp said to be interested in an extra winger at Anfield, but the report states that Roberto Di Matteo’s Villa have a good relationship with Jorge Mendes.
The move for El Ghazi could show plenty of ambition from incoming Villa owner Dr Tony Xia and a creative outlet is something the Villans have been lacking over recent years.
