Roberto Di Matteo is looking to sign Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans, according to a report from The Mirror.
The Scotland international was a fringe player for the Canaries for the majority of the season and it’s believed he is interested in being reunited with both Roberto Di Matteo and Steve Clarke, two of his former managers.
While Dorrans is keen on a return with Di Matteo and Clarke at Villa, both former managers of his during his time at West Brom, they face competition from Premier League new boys Hull City and Burnley.

Having spent most of last season on the fringes, Dorrans seems more interested in being a key player at Villa than an instant return to the top flight. A source told the Mirror:
Dorrans loved working under Roberto and they have maintained their relationship. They both want it to happen but the two clubs have to come to an arrangement over the fee.
The central midfielder has made a combined total of 32 appearances for the Canaries, after a successful loan spell earned him a permanent deal. However, he failed to make a lasting impact in the Premier League, and will likely look elsewhere for regular starts.
