Aston Villa are understood to be keen on bringing Josh Onomah back to Villa Park following a successful loan spell last season.
Onomah scored four goals in 33 Championship games for Steve Bruce’s side last term and they are keen to have him back on another loan spell as they look to get promoted from the Championship at the third time of asking.
But as reported by James Nursey in the Mirror, Villa look to face competition from Premier League sides Fulham and Burnley. Amongst all this interest Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino maybe reluctant to let the youngster go due to their injury woes, with injury concerns over Victor Wanyama, Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko leaving them a bit light for midfield options.
Waynama is suffering with a knee injury, Harry Winks has an ankle problem and Sissoko has a hamstring injury.
World Cup semi-finalists Moussa Dembele and Eric Dier aren’t set to return to training until the 6th of August, just five days before Spurs’ opening fixture with Newcastle at St James’ Park.
Tottenham are still yet to make any signings in the current transfer window and have let youngsters Keenan Bennetts and Anton Walkes leave on permanent transfers to Borussia Monchengladbach and Portsmouth respectively.
