Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has reportedly held talks with defender Harold Moukoudi over a potential move on Thursday, with the Frenchman sleeping on a decision over whether to join the Midlands club.
The 20-year old Le Havre centre-back also underwent a partial medical at Bodymoor Heath, but wants to think on the move, with late interest from Rennes said to have influenced his decision making.
This is according to GFFN, who cite Foot Mercato, claiming that Bruce is pursuing a possible loan deal with an obligation to buy for around €10million.
Moukoudi has reportedly already turned down offers from clubs outside of France this summer, as he wanted to remain in Ligue 2 or jump up to Ligue 1 to continue his development. However, he has now asked for time to allow him to decide on the next step in his career.
