Aston Villa left back Aly Cissokho could be set for a move away from Villa Park according to reports in France.
Sports Witness report via La Gazette des Transferts that the former Liverpool defender could be a transfer target for Ligue 1 sides Renne and St Etienne.
The 28 year old’s time at Villa Park looked finished last summer as he was sent on loan to Porto after Tim Sherwood signed Jordan Amavi, but after Remi Garde took the hot seat at the Villans, Cissokho returned with Amavi out injured.
The former Liverpool man went on to appear on 18 occasions last season in a claret and blue shirt, but couldn’t help Villa fight any sort of serious fight against relegation. He joined Villa from Valencia in 2014 for around £2-million.
He has only made 43 appearances since his move and could be on his way out of Villa Park.
