As reported earlier on, it has been said that Villa had tabled a bid for the Reading midfielder Aaron Tshibola.
Get Reading this afternoon report that the £5-million bid for Tshibola has been accepted by the Royals and he is expected to meet Aston Villa officials this week to tie up a deal at Villa Park.
The midfield dynamo has been described by Reading fans as ‘running the game’ and someone who controls it.
He has made 40 senior appearances in his career so far and been highly touted with Celtic, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion all showing an interest alongside Villa and fellow Championship side Norwich City.
For Roberto Di Matteo it will be his second signing for Villa and for Steve Clarke he will link up with a man who he gave his first team debut at Reading.
