Aston Villa youngster Callum Robinson is set to leave the club for Preston North End on a permanent basis over the coming days according to reports.
The Lancashire Evening Post report that Villa’s Championship rivals have agreed compensation with Villa for the 21 year old who is out of contract at Villa Park this summer.
Robinson has previously had two spells out on loan at Deepdale including last season where he also spent some time at Bristol City before going to Preston later on.
He has failed to make a mark in the Aston Villa first team and it marks another of the club’s NextGen winning side leaving the club without establishing themselves in a claret and blue shirt.
For Robinson, it is a chance to kick on with his career and show what he promised for so long in development squad matches. Villa fans will be hopeful they haven’t seen a gem leave the club.
