Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Westwood could be subject to a £6 million bid from Premier League side Burnley.
The Birmingham Mail report how the Clarets are keen to add the Villa midfielder to their squad ahead of a return to the Premier League.
Westwood, who joined the Villans from Crewe Alexandra in 2012, has been a mainstay in Villa’s side and has often split fan opinions.
Sean Dyche is believed to be keen on Westwood due to his first rate work ethic and low maintenance.
He has made over 100 appearances since his move to Birmingham and is one of the most experienced heads Villa have.
It is not clear if Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo would be willing to let Westwood leave this summer as he looks to forge a squad that can push seriously for promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
His current deal at Villa Park expires in 2020.
