Marseille are lining up a loan move for the Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout according to reports in France.
L’Equipe report how the Ligue 1 side have been in talks with Villa over a loan move for Veretout from Villa with the Frenchman open to a move back to his home country from Villa Park.
Aston Villa are said to be keen to keep hold of the 23 year old who they signed last summer from Nantes.
He made 25 appearances last season in the Premier League and laid on four goals during that time. The midfielder failed to feature towards the backend of last season though under the stewardship of Eric Black after Remi Garde was sacked as boss.
Meanwhile, Carlos Sanchez’s move to Les Olympiens is current in the balance with the French side keen to see how other deals progress before making a final decision on the Colombian.
