According to a media outlet in France, Get French Football News, Aston Villa left-back Jordan Amavi is a target for Liverpool.
Twitter: Liverpool appear poised to act on their interest in Jordan Amavi, according to Le Parisien. Full story on Get French Football News tomorrow. (@GFFN)
Amavi’s performances at the start of last season were promising to say the least, as the former Nice man flourished in the opening stages and caught the eye of many.
However, he sustained a long-term injury and was out of action for the remainder of the season; a setback that proved to be a real blow to Villa.
Although he is in the process of putting his injury woes behind him, it looks as though Jurgen Klopp’s men are set to pursue their interest in Amavi by making a move for him this summer.
However, contrary to Get French Football News’ tweet regarding Liverpool’s interest in Amavi, BBC Sports broadcaster Pat Murphy has implied that there may not be too much truth to the rumours.

Villa will be hopeful of keeping hold of Amavi this window as preparations are well underway for the coming Championship season as Roberto Di Matteo looks to help the Villains back to the top flight at the first time of asking.
Amavi is very much a fans’ favourite at Villa Park and he is set to be key for them next season.
