Johnstone set to head back to Villa

Manchester United and Jose Mourinho look set to allow Sam Johnstone to return back to Villa on loan for next season, according to reports from the Birmingham Mail.

As Aston Villa will now have to reportedly find their money for new transfers from selling current players, a loan signing for the goalkeeper would be a good option to take for Steve Bruce.

Johnstone ended up being one of Aston Villa’s best players as he kept a clean sheet in seven matches out of eight as Villa won.

Sam Johnstone who signed in January on loan was the first player that Steve Bruce signed after becoming Aston Villa boss.

As other Aston Villa goalkeeper Pierlugi Gollini left the club for Atlanta on an 18-month loan deal, Johnstone would be a valuable asset for the club to bring back as they go into next season trying to gain promotion to the Premier League.

As it looks at the moment Sam Johnstone will be back on his way to Villa for the upcoming Championship season.
