The Mail Online have reported that Southampton are interested in taking Aston Villa duo Keinan Davis and Andre Green to St Mary’s.
They have reported that the Saints could be considering a bids of around £3-4 million to prise the youngsters away from Villa Park.
Davis broke into the Villa first team last season, contributing three goals and one assist and scooped the Young Player of the Year award in Villa’s end of season awards.
Green started off the season in fantastic fashion, scoring a great goal against Norwich City. Sadly, however, injuries hampered his season and limited him to just seven first-team appearances.
Both Davis and Green showed great ability and potential in their first team appearances and proved to be great outlets for Steve Bruce’s Villa team.
However, with Villa in crisis off the pitch, both Green and Davis as well as other youngsters like Callum O’Hare and Jake Doyle-Hayes could see a lot more first-team action as the Villans could look to sell key players in order to meet FFP regulations.
This makes it unlikely that Villa would accept a low offer for players who could be key for the club going forward.
However, if Southampton were to offer Villa a more lucrative deal, the club may be forced to accept it and sell the duo.
