Aston Villa are considering a loan move for Southampton striker and former Birmingham loanee Sam Gallagher.
The Birmingham Mail reports that the striker is in Steve Bruce’s sights with the Villa boss looking for bargain deals this summer.
Given the financial worries that surround the club, Bruce is looking to wheel and deal in the loan market.

Jonathan Kodjia is expected to leave the club this summer with Newcastle and Leeds interested in the Ivorian.
With Ross McCormack also expected to be moved on, Bruce will be in the market for a new striker.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at rivals Birmingham City and scored seven times for the club.
The striker is currently away with Southampton as he aims to impress Mark Hughes, who is heading into his first full season in charge of the Saints.
Guido Carrillo has recently left Southampton on loan, which could open up a chance for Gallagher to impress.
