Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has admitted that a return to Villa Park for Robert Snodgrass is unlikely before the end of the month.
The Guardian reports that the Villa boss believes the Scottish winger is hoping to make the grade in the Premier League this season.
He’s trying to make an impression on a new manager and I don’t know anything about his current situation.

Snodgrass’ long-term West Ham future had been uncertain, but he is hoping to fight for his place under Manuel Pellegrini.
The winger has been very vocal on social media about the struggles he has faced in London, but he now appears to have his sights set on a place in Pellegrini’s plans.
It had been suggested that Snodgrass could return to Villa after a fruitful loan spell at the Championship side.
Recent Villa signing John McGinn even talked up the chances of a return by admitting he would love to play alongside him at Villa Park.
Bruce is believed to be in the market for loan signings with just two weeks left for the Villa boss to manoeuvre in the market.
