Aston Villa, Leeds United and Swansea City have all shown an interest in signing Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster on loan in January, according to reports.
Therefore, the news that the Reds are about to sign Red Bull Salzburg forward Takumi Minamino should come as welcome news to those clubs.
Jurgen Klopp admitted that he is open to the possibility of sending Brewster out on loan but said he could only do so if it didn’t impact his squad too much.
The Reds are already without a few injured players and as such, Brewster, who is set to lead the line for Liverpool in the League Cup at Villa Park next week, could have been kept at Anfield to keep Klopp’s squad numbers high.
However, the arrival of Minamino, who can play in a variety of positions, could mean that Brewster is allowed to leave.
Liverpool want the youngster to go somewhere where he’ll get regular game time, so time will tell where he ends up.

Brewster looks like a very talented player but he is unproven in the Premier League. Villa could do with some attacking depth but whether he’d get enough game time at Villa Park to satisfy Liverpool remains to be seen.
