Frederic Guilbert has an uncertain future at Aston Villa after falling down the pecking order and being loaned out in January, but he’s not letting the situation ruin his summer holidays if his Instagram stories are anything to go by.
The 26-year-old shared a picture of him swimming with the daughter and pulling off a gymnastic pose for effect. He captioned the snap ‘mon amour’, meaning my love. Guilbert also re-posted a nice picture from his partner Noémie Boutry’s Instagram stories and the daughter together.
Guilbert is spending his summer holidays in France, visiting Saint Tropez, Port Grimaud, Cocoon Beach in Nice and the Cascade de Sillans in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. He’s happy with his family and won’t need to report for pre-season duty at Bodymoor Heath until early July.
The right-back joined Villa from SM Caen in 2019 and has gone on to make 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals with two assists. Guilbert is currently behind Matty Cash in the pecking order but will still be important in the squad now Ahmed Elmohamady has left.
