It’s been two years and a day since Kortney Hause joined Aston Villa from Wolverhampton Wanderers and the 25-year-old marked the occasion with a post on his Instagram stories.

He posted a picture of his signing back in 2019 and re-posted the same snap by his management team, vowing that the best is yet to come. Hause then shared an inspirational quote from Canadian rapper Drake suggesting that you need to surround yourself with people that are ambitious and hungry for success.

Hause has gone on to make 46 appearances in all competitions for Villa, scoring three goals, and has been a great servant. He endured an injury-hit campaign in 2020/21, featuring just 10 times across the board due to groin and ankle problems, but he’ll be useful in the squad next season.

Currently Ezri Konsa and Tyrone Mings are regular partners at centre-back and have been outstanding in the last 12 months, but Hause has been dependable when called upon and provides an obvious aerial threat. The 25-year-old is no longer guaranteed a starting place, but he’s needed in the team.
