Jack Grealish posts emotional Euro 2020 montage on Instagram

Jack Grealish was understandably disappointed that he couldn’t lead England to glory in the 2020 European Championship, falling short in the final against Italy, but he posted an emotional montage of the tournament on Instagram to celebrate his best moments.

The 25-year-old made five appearances in the Euros and assisted two goals. He amassed 174 minutes of football for England but started only one game from a possible seven. Grealish may feel he deserved more minutes than Gareth Southgate handed him this summer, but his best moments were still impressive.

Aston Villa are back in pre-season, but Grealish should be afforded an extended holiday after playing in the Euros, so he is likely to return later in July when he’s had a rest. The Villans face Walsall on July 21, Stoke City on July 24, Nottingham Forest on July 28, Bristol City on July 31 and Sevilla on August 7. Grealish should feature in at least one of those matches.

The 25-year-old has an uncertain future in the Midlands as Manchester City are trying to procure his signature, but he’s been a part of the new kit launch and hasn’t made any public statement that suggests he wants out, so Villa will be preparing for the new season with Grealish in mind.

In other news, talk of Jack Grealish joining Man City intensifies on social media

matchday.
