Some fans say ‘amazing’ Jacob Ramsey is ‘so underrated’

Aston Villa came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Manchester United on Saturday and Jacob Ramsey was one of many players who impressed. The 20-year-old got on the scoresheet and grabbed an assist at Villa Park to cap a brilliant performance.

No player had more shots on target and only one player had more successful dribbles, so it wasn’t a surprise that Ramsey was given a player rating of 9/10 by Birmingham Live while being hailed for his contribution by fans on social media.

Against Man Utd, Ramsey played for 90 minutes, had 60 touches, won one aerial duel, completed 87% of his 46 passes, created one chance, had two shots which both hit the target, had three successful dribbles, blocked one shot and made one clearance.

The 20-year-old has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals with one assist. He’s missed only two of Villa’s 20 Premier League games and has started 14 times for his troubles. Ramsey is one of the first names on the teamsheet under Steven Gerrard and performances against United are exactly why. The future is bright.

In other news, Gabriel Agbonlahor says ‘strong’ Keinan Davis has ‘got everything’

matchday.
