Aston Villa Women defender Sarah Mayling has completed a permanent transfer to Women’s Super League rivals Leicester City for an undisclosed fee.
Mayling, 29, spent the second half of last season on loan with the Foxes, where she established herself as an integral part of their backline.
Following that successful temporary stint, the right-back has signed a three-year contract at King Power Stadium, drawing a line under an eight-year association across two distinct spells with her hometown team.

A product of Villa’s youth pipeline, Mayling made her senior debut at just 17 before playing a pivotal role during the campaign that secured historic promotion to the WSL in 2020.
