Aston Villa have offered a contract to the former-West Bromwich Albion and West Ham winger, Morgan Amalfitano who is currently a free agent after leaving the latter in the summer.
RMC Sport report, that the Frenchman has been offered a ‘concrete offer’ by bosses at Villa Park with French side, Lille also showing an interest for the winger. Last season for The Hammers he made 24 appearances finding the net three times.
In the previous campaign, Amalfitano was out on loan at local rivals, West Brom where he featured 28 times scoring four times.
The move will not come as a shock to many Villa fans if it comes through – with Villa’s French connections.
Amalfitano isn’t bad – Matt Lynch
Amalfitano has Premier League experience and can cause a real nuisance. West Ham boss, Slaven Bilic didn’t like him though and let him go. Do Villa really want a player who West Ham let go? He has good qualities and could be an asset though.
