Villa are set to close the upper tier of the Trinity Road Stand, reports the Birmingham Mail.
The decision has been made as Villa look at ways of saving money ahead of next season.
With attendances already incredibly low this season, Villa expect attendances to drop further next season and it is unlikely that Villa will have the demand for tickets next season which would see the top tier of the Trinity Road Stand reopened at any stage next season.
Villa have already began to inform supporters of the move, with those who hold season tickets in the upper tier being offered concessions on their tickets if they buy another season ticket for a different part of the stadium.
The current Trinity Road Stand was re-constructed in 2000 and is the largest stand at Villa Park, ahead of the Holte End.
Do you agree with Villa’s decision or will it have a negative impact on the atmosphere at Villa Park?
